While Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and many other leading cryptocurrencies have experienced little to no volatility over the past day, the lesser-known altcoin Quack AI (Q) has taken a different path.
Its price exploded by triple digits to a new all-time high, only to surrender almost all of those gains shortly afterward. Here’s what happened during the token’s wild ride.
Pump and Dump
Several hours ago, Q suddenly skyrocketed from roughly $0.05 to a new historical peak of almost $0.24, while its market capitalization surged to nearly $1 billion, making it one of the top 100 biggest cryptocurrencies. However, the rally was short-lived, and the coin quickly reversed course, currently trading near $0.06.

It remains unclear what sparked the turbulence, but several analysts noted that savvy market participants capitalized on the roller-coaster price action and secured substantial profits.
The analytics platform Lookonchain revealed that trader 0xF1fE made almost $1 million mainly by opening long positions on Q as the price rose. Many X users commenting on the post speculated that the mysterious person or entity might have had inside information about the move, as no obvious signs suggested such a dramatic pump was imminent.
For his part, Crypto with Haris ₿ said he made over $17,000 after catching “the perfect top” to short Q. X user OxNox disclosed that during the run, the crowd turned short, with 70% of accounts on Binance betting on a price decline as the open interest soared from $10 million to $42 million.
“The 48 wallets holding 55% of Q on BNB Chain didn’t move through any of it. Still 0 transactions,” the analyst added.
A Possible Explanation
Quack AI is an AI-focused crypto project that aims to serve as a governance layer for AI agents and decentralized applications, allowing automated decision-making, DAO governance, and policy-based actions. X user Nura explained that Q is the native token, letting people delegate votes, run gasless payments via their Q402 system, and manage on-chain governance across multiple chains.
According to the analyst, the entire price move was nothing but a “pure leverage theater.” They claimed that data shows heavy wash trading combined with concentrated accumulator wallets that opened recently and haven’t sold. The timeline of the chaos is also interesting: it came after weeks of gradual interest in AI agents and wasn’t driven by major new announcements.
“CT is treating a duck-themed AI governance token like it’s the next hypergrowth infrastructure play, while simultaneously warning each other not to get quacked. If you’re watching AI agents, this is the purest current example of narrative + leverage colliding. If you’re just here for the show, Q is currently the loudest character on the timeline,” the analyst argued.
In conclusion, Nura described Q as a “high-wash-volume token” that will remain volatile and advised people to “size accordingly or just watch the fireworks.”
